Encryption Attacks and Business Continuity’, which will take place on
Wednesday 7 October at
12:00 in
Tower 3 (Hall 22). The talk will be given by
Eng. Enrico Tonello, co-founder of
TG Soft Cyber Security Specialist.
This talk, open to everyone, will be technical and informative and will present the current state of the art in ransomware to the public, providing an overview of what ransomware is, its main methods of propagation, how it attacks, and how to defend against it. By attending the talk, you will gain useful advice and practical tools to protect yourself against these attacks.

Encryption Attacks and Business Continuity''
Given the topics covered during the exhibition, TG Soft’s presentation will be of a technical and informative nature, focusing on what a ransomware encryption attack is and which channels are commonly used to infiltrate systems (PCs and servers).
The presentation will outline some of the most effective and efficient technologies to block encryption at the initial stage of an attack, minimise the damage caused by it, and describe the techniques for restoring systems and bringing them back into operation.
At the end of the talk, at the TG Soft stand, you will be able to watch a demonstration of a real ransomware attack using a recent sample that will show a typical HumanOperatedRansomwareAttack, live in two ways:
- Attack on a machine WITHOUT THE PROTECTION provided by Vir.IT eXplorer PRO;
- Attack on a machine WITH ACTIVE PROTECTION built into Vir.IT eXplorer PRO (heuristic and behavioural technologies).
