The workshop is divulgative/educational in nature and aims to present to the audience the threats circulating and how to defend against and block these threats such as malspam, ransomware, mining and phishing but not only...

This workshop will focus on the most devastating Cyber threats (Ransomware & Password Stealer) to entities and enterprises recorded in 2019 in Italy, and on  those that could be "in the wild" in 2020. The main Ransomware attacks that really affected Italian entities/enterprises are divided into two categories:

• the widespread attacks => reduced/affordable ransoms;
• the targeted attacks => with specific company target, much higher ransoms even above €/USD Million.

Then there are, not less devastating and costly, massive Spyware / Password Stealer / Trojan Banker attacks, capable of exfiltrating, silently, the passwords of HomeBanking, Electronic Mail and other WEB-accessible services. With our Login&Password, CyberCriminals access WEB services and, in addition to viewing our Bank or Post Office Account and/or our e-mail including PEC, they also generally attempt to make wire transfers. In order to avoid these expensive traps it's crucial to know how to recognize MalSpam emails.

The workshop will have a "lab" session with an actual ransomware attack showing its effects and how it can be avoided.
